ELR Installation at Traffic Control Building

Supply and Installation of 04 Nos of ELR ( Earth Leakage Relay ) in SMDB at First Floor in Traffic Control building to the outgoing breakers each were of 100 Ampere MCCB of Schnider Electric( Same as Merlin Gerin)
Material Bought from - Safety Electrical
Material
  1. Shut Relay
  2. ELR
  3. Fuses
  4. CBCT ( We bought it for 50mm2 cable because Lugs were connected so small can't enter in side the cable)
Fixed the shut inside the breaker assembly , put the CT's on the cable , installed ELR on rail mounted c-channel and made the wiring

How Basically It Works

ELR Earth Leakage Relays along with CBCT are used to detect
leakage  current in the earthing. If the earthing is not
proper a small amount of current will appear (in the order
of mA). ELR will continuously monitor the leakage current
if it exceeds the set threshold an output electromechanical
relay (which is inside the ELR) will operate. The output
relay contact can be connected to circuite breakers /
contactor to isolate power supply or alarms.

CBCT Core Balance Current Transformers these will come in
different sizes. the core material will be either nickel or
alloy of nickel, copper wire will be wounded on the core
and properly insulated. The 3-phase line along with neutral
are passed in this core and secondary is connected to ELR.
Idealy the leakage current should be zero if any earth
leakage happen the leakage current will appear at CBCT
secondary it will be detected by ELR

Air Conditioning Installation

Project No: 1- Abu Dhabi Municipality - 3rd Floor
( Through Highgate Interior Designing Company)

  1. Supply and Installation of Fan coil Units - 04 Nos ( high noise)
  2. Supply and Installation of Chilled water pipe line connection
  3. Supply and installation of Thermostate.and its electrical wiring for the control

Problem Faced:
  • high noise
  • Drain water leakage.
  • thermorstate proper setting
  • No Chemical Flushing did.
  • Because ceiling was 60 x 60 non perforated (like net holes ) so one reason of sound.
  • diffuser used were 40 x 40 and length of ducting was less also so noise might be this reason
  • sound proof liner should be used for make noise free.

CCTV system Through Internet

IP BASED CCTV SYSTEM INSTALLATION

1.    Purchase a DSL modem as required (ADSL or SDSL).
2.    Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port at the back of the DVR box and the other end to the modem.
3.    Set up your IP address. You can obtain it with your DSL connection.
4.    Activate your Firewall, so as to limit external interference in your recorded data on the Internet.
5.    Connect the router to the DVR with the help of a cable in case you require a network of connections.
6.    You now have an Internet connection through the DVR. Now you are able to view every movement from your  Bussiness Establishment online.
Things We Need:
  • IP address
  • DSL modem
  • An Internet service
  • Firewall security
  • DVR
  • Router
  • Ethernet cable
Tips & Warnings
  • Acquire a unique static IP address from the subscriber when you go for it. It will save on time and confusion in the Internet connectivity to your device.
  • You can also connect to the Internet even if you have a standard dynamic IP.
  • Always remember that your IP address is your password to the Internet service; enter it without any mistake.
  • Ensure that the LAN cable is appropriately connected

Cable Size Calculation

CABLE SIZE CALCULATION
  1. ALWAYS REMEMBER {LOAD <CB< CABLE}
  2. Calculate the Demand Load or Connected Load Ic = P/1.732 * V * p.f.
  3. Choose the Next Size of Circuit Breaker In = ( CB =Ic).
  4. Cable Size = (CB x 1.15) /(Ft *Fg)
{ Ft - Temperature Correction Factor ( from A7(g)) If the ambient temperature differ from 30C.
{Fg - Grouping Factor ( From A7(h) If more than one circuit}

Grouping Factor

Temperature Correction Factors
mV/A/m - VALUES

Power Factor Calculation

Voltage Drop Calculation

Example:- If Connect load is 6KW, 2 C PVC non-armoured cable cliped on wall, ambient temperature is 40 C and Power factor is 0.85.
 If Load is Single phase
Load Current Ic = Ic = P/V * p.f.  = 6000/1.732 * 0.85 = 30.6A

Circuit Break Size = 32A ( Next One Higher Value)

Cable Size = CB x 1.15 /Ft * Fg  = 32 * 1.15/0.87*0.85 ( From above Table the value of Ft and Fg )
                 = 49A
From A7(c) Cable Size = 2C x 10mm2 ( One next higher value)

Voltage Drop Calculation

               Ic x L x ( mV/A/m)
 Vd =   ----------------------
                  1000

From Table A7(a) for 70 C Thermoplast PVC non-armoured Cable  "mV/A/m = 18"

So            30.1 x 22 x 18
    Vd = -------------------   = 7.9  so %age Vd = 7.9 /230 = 3.4 % ( which is less than 4% nominal Value)
                    1000
